About Dr Lee

Dr. Mark Lee is a fellowship trained, board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist (EP) who serves as the Medical Director of Electrophysiology at the Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute at Long Beach Medical Center.

His interests include complex ablations and treats the full gamut of dysrhythmias including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He is proficient in all modalities of interventional EP including implantation of pacemakers/defibrillators, WATCHMAN™ devices and lead extractions.

Dr. Lee received his medical degree at the University of Vermont and received his Internal Medicine residency training at Scripps Clinic/Green Hospital in La Jolla, CA. He then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease followed by cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center where he worked with national leaders in the field of EP.

Dr. Lee is passionate about clinical research/education and is currently involved in multiple studies as Principal and Sub-Investigator. In 2018, he was selected "Attending of the Year" by the graduating UC Irvine Cardiology fellows for excellence in teaching.

Dr. Lee was born at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and feels fortunate to serve his local community. In his spare time, Dr. Lee continues to hack away at golf and guitar, hoping one day he will flush his long-iron and pluck that legendary sustain on his Les Paul. More than anything, he loves to spend time with his wife and is working on being the best “girl dad” to his two daughters.
